Autism MATES are proud to announce that Jo Casamento has come on board as our very first Autism Mates Ambassador.
Jo is a journalist, a popular TV and radio personality and host, she is also and Ambassador for Barnardos Mother of the Year and most importantly is a mother of three!
Her beautiful spirit and generous nature makes her the perfect fit for MATES!
Jo instantly connected with all our speakers at the Autism and Me Event where she had the role of interviewing some of our speakers, and she was also our MC at our Model MATES event. Jo has inspired all of our MATES crew and she herself remarked at how she has been inspired by all of their achievements.

Richard Habelrih
Richard Habelrih is the reason Autism MATES exists. He is 24 years old and is on the autism spectrum.
Despite a poor prognosis, Richard has achieved beyond what was imagined by professionals. Richard has overcome huge obstacles and today is an inspiring and resilient young man, intent on being adventurous and living life to the fullest and making a difference in the lives of others.
Today he is a public speaker, and has written and performs the Best MATES Puppet Show. He loves working with children and spreading the MATES message of friendship and inclusion, he is determined to educate as many people as possible about difference and acceptance.
Richard like all of us, has hopes and dreams and what he wants you to know about him is “he is just like everyone else”!
